What if I under declare the value of my package?

Shipindia does not know the true value of your purchases. The value you determine is the value you can declare. It should be more than 1 RM or 1 SGD. Your insurance and taxes will be based on the declared value. Your declaration currency will be based on your destination address. Example, if you destination address is in Singapore, you will declare the value of your item in SGD

How much tax will I incur for my shipments?

The tax percentage is 18% of your declared value of your item. You can declare the value of your item on your own.

How does the customs process work?

Sending your parcels in and out of a country requires customs paperwork and procedures. We will process your shipments, declare its weight, contents and value from India to your destination country. You do not have to pay for any additional charges. Sit back while we handle this part of the shipment for you.

What are the prohibited items that I cannot ship from India to Singapore & Malaysia ?

Please note that delivery is not available for the items below.

  • Perishable food items (vegetables, fruits, raw meat, eggs)
  • Raw and packed rice. Sugar
  • Chewing gum (except dental and medicated gum)
  • Chewing tobacco and imitation tobacco products (e.g., electronic cigarettes)
  • Cigarette lighters in the shape of a pistol or revolver
  • Controlled drugs and psychotropic substances
  • Firecrackers
  • Obscene articles, publications, videotapes, videodiscs, and software
  • Reproductions of copyrighted publications, videotapes, videodiscs, and laser discs, records, and cassettes
  • Seditious and treasonable materials
  • Animal skins (non-domesticated)
  • Articles of exceptional value (e.g., works of art, antiques, precious stones, gold, and silver)
  • Dangerous goods/hazardous materials (according to IATA and ADR regulations)
  • Firearms
  • Furs
  • Ivory and ivory products
  • Live animals
  • Money and negotiable items
  • Personal effects (except via MBE Centres to selected countries)
